Great quality materials; minor engineering issue., January 12, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Southern Enterprises High Back Leather Recliner and Ottoman, Taupe (Misc.) Just took delivery of this chair and am typing this review while breaking it in. Opened the box and the first thing I noticed was that the leather is more tan then I expected. From the online picture and the Taupe description I was thinking it would be a bit more off-white or cream. The next thing I noticed was the smell of leather and solid build of the frame. The wood is real and think as is the leather. The cushioning is firm but very comfortable. At 6'6" and 260lbs I still sink into the chair with plenty of room in the hips and head rest. Assembly was surprisingly easy considering the many pieces I removed from the box. I didn't attach the little table so I completed assembly in 40 minutes from the 9 step illustrated instructions (8 if you discount the final assembled illustration from step 9). The chair is a little low for what I intend to use it for. I have a sitting room off of the master suite in my house. I have a desk setup with PC, large screen LCD and some nice... Read more
