The setup was very easy and the instructions were intuitive. The 1/2" thick glass is tempered, heavy, and durable. It's kind of hard to imagine how thick 1/2" of glass really is until you see it in person -- it's THICK -- which makes for a durable surface for heavy items. This is one of the best looking glass desks out there, with the rounded shelves on one side. I chose not to install the glass stand on top of the desk since I am using my 27" iMac on it, and prefer to just set it on the desktop.
PROS:
+ Beautiful in aesthetics, modern glass desk, complements modern computers, especially the aluminum and glass iMac's out there.
+ Tempered 1/2" thick glass is not going to break anytime soon and can hold a lot of weight.
+ Rounded shelves on one end for item display, or ready-item storage.
+ Powder-coated steel legs on one side, chrome accents.
+ Easy to assemble, durable once fully assembled.

Changed review due to amazon price drop, October 12, 2011 By Scott (Uncasville Connecticut USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Innovex DP1025 Glass Desk, Black for roughly 400 this is a fashionable desk, but theres always that one part that the screw doesn't quite fit, so don't expect perfection. i put mine together and i still have a crooked leg, but in terms of overall looks this thing is cool.
