mom, December 12, 2011 By This review is from: Sauder Shoal Creek Full / Queen Bookcase Headboard Soft White I loved the price but when I saw the box I definetely felt intimidated by the installation and instructions of a 74 pound box. I dived in on a Sunday afternoon in front of TV with a two screw drivers and a hammers as instructed. There were 15 steps and all were very easy. I let me 7 and 4 year old help with the installation so it took about 2 hours but I was in no hurry. The hardest part was getting the 2nd double stick tape off. It seemed to be a little old but that was the hardest and I am not handy at putting together anything.
My daughter loves it. She has all there nick nacks on it and there is even a punch out for alarm clock and lamp.
It fits a queen bed just fine which I was worried about since it says it willl fit a full bed too. It is laminated so I am sure it isn't the sturdiest but again it is a great price and my kids don't climb furniture so I am not too concerned. I had cracked corners on pieces when delivered but Saunders replaced quickly. The double back adhesive tape for the drawers is ineffective at bonding and a bear to pull backing liner off. Other than that -good enuf.
